What took us so long?

At SAW’s we understand that you can’t rush greatness. Bar-B-Q is a slow craft. Low temperatures and delicate smoke render swine sublime.

But seriously, what took us so long to get to Hoover? It’s not exactly like Hoover has been hiding from us – it’s one the state’s largest cities. And home to some of our biggest fans. Ever since Mike started selling Q out of his garage, the fine folks of Hoover have been asking us to put a restaurant closer to them.

We’ve set up shop in Riverchase Village. For you long time Hooverites that’s over where the Whole Foods used to be and the Bruno’s used to be before that. Translation – plenty of parking. The exact address is 3780 Riverchase Village Hoover, AL 35244 Suite #100, but just get close enough, roll down the window and follow your nose.

Saw’s BBQ Hoover is stoked to be working with Neil Patel and his team at the Hoover location. Neil grew up in Hoover (so he knows the neighborhood) and attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham (go blazers!) He has deep experience in restaurant ownership in the Birmingham market and the service industry runs in his blood. Neil learned the ropes from his father, Bob, who has decades of experience in Hospitality. Sounds like a perfect match for the Saw’s family!

Garden and Gun put Saw’s on their “Bar-B-cue Bucket List”, And fine folks from the New York Times to Southern Living have graciously pointed people to our doors. But, we learned long ago, never eat your own press clippings. We show up and work to earn our reputation everyday.

We sure hope to see you, feed you and get to know you and yours.

And we’re sorry it took us so long to bring the smoke home.
